The gallery, which opened to the public on Thursday, offers a glimpse into the opulent dining customs of Polish royalty, with exhibits that once graced the tables of the nation's kings.

Curator Anna Szkurłat explained that the collection includes valuable artifacts, many associated with the Wettin dynasty's rulers, Augustus II and his son Augustus III.

"We have managed to pair some original Far Eastern prototypes with their Meissen copies, highlighting the initial inspiration drawn from Chinese and Japanese porcelain during the early days of the manufactory," Szkurłat said.

The majority of the exhibits originate from the Royal Porcelain Manufactory in Meissen, which holds the distinction of being the first in Europe to produce porcelain.

The layout of the exhibition mirrors the sophisticated design of 18th-century porcelain cabinets. The pieces are meticulously arranged within five original Dutch display cabinets from around 1750 and are complemented by French dressers and a console table from the same era.
